The Community Cultural Foundation is proud of the immense success of the 2010 American Music Festival (AMF) presented from September 1-5 in Daytona Beach. Presented by The Daytona Beach News-Journal, Bright House Networks and Daytona State College. AMF featured performances by some of the biggest names in music including Tony Bennett, Usher, The Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato, Huey Lewis & The News, Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Blake Shelton and Jerrod Niemann. Easily one of the largest musical events to be hosted in the world-famous destination, the event is receiving rave reviews from across the state. With 20,000 attendees to both free and ticketed events over the five-day celebration, the festival is being declared a success by those involved and around the community. “This event was a landmark event for our community at a pivotal time in our community’s history. I think we got an excellent return on our investment” commented Mayor Glenn Ritchey.

Many in the community have stated that they would like to see the festival happen year after year as this musical endeavor helped create a movement that CCF hopes will transform into a tradition lasting for years to come. The five days of concerts and events also brought a renewed sense of pride and enthusiasm surrounding the community and the revitalization of Daytona Beach. The inaugural American Music Festival will be cited as the true turning point in the rebranding of one of America’s favorite destinations. "I'd love to see it year after year. It's great for the revitalization of the area," Festival attendee Lorie Hengehold told WESH 2 News. “One day we will be able to look back at this series of events and realize that this was the catalysts for our city's rebirth,” stated City Commissioner Rick Shiver who has helped guide the effort as appointed by the City Commission. Although final numbers are still being calculated, The Community Cultural Foundation issued 18,364 admissions to festival events which combined with ticketing and service fees resulted in a healthy $957,459.00 in ticketing income. Festival organizers are still counting robust concession and merchandise sales as well as a successful development campaign that generated substantial partnerships in cash sponsorships and $900,000 in trade and in-kind support which allowed the event to happen successfully.
